Jill Kent, our antiques appraiser, is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers, Member of the Foundation for Appraisal Excellence and the DC Bar Association. She holds Master of Tax Law and Juris Doctor, as well as Certificate in Fine and Decorative Arts from the George Washington University and a BA in in Art History from the University of Michigan. Ms. Kent continually pursues continuing education in both technical and connoisseurship areas.
Ms. Kent's appraisal reports are compliant with USPAP, the professional standards of the appraisal industry and are accepted by the Internal Revenue Service and insurance companies.

Ms. Kent is a “qualified appraiser” under the IRS regulations. An IRS “Qualified Appraiser” must have earned a designation from a recognized appraisal association, has met certain education and experience requirements, must regularly perform appraisals for which he /she is compensated and who has not been barred from practicing before the IRS.
