The Educated Eye Appraisals is a full-service appraisal and consultation firm in Washington, DC. Our services generally focus on American, English and Continental furniture and decorative arts, from the 17th through 20th centuries, including arts and crafts, moderne and mid-century. Our antique appraiser, Jill Kent, has handled furniture, including Asian items, clocks, ceramics, oriental rugs, fine arts, silver and other metals, Americana, folk art, Native American objects, African American historical objects, samplers, decoys, lace, lighting, architectural elements and objects once owned by Presidents Washington and Jefferson.

Credentials
Jill Kent is an Accredited Member (AM) of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). She holds a BA in Classical Studies and Art History from the University of Michigan and a Certificate in Appraisal Studies and Connoisseurship in Fine and Decorative Arts from George Washington University, where she also received two law degrees, including a Masters Degree in Taxation. Miss Kent has passed six qualifiying technical exams and pursues additional connoisseurship courses for continuing education. She is USPAP-certified.
